Positional Game - 6v6 + 4 (3v3+2 vs 3v3+2)
Description:
- The game begins 5v3 (3v3+2) on one side with the team in possession trying to connect 5 passes to earn a goal.
- Earn a second goal by passing to one of the reds on the other side, setting the ball back to a red teammate in the middle yellow zone, and then passing to a free player in the other box (teammate or neutrals). If successful, the sequence continue again.
- If the opposing team recovers possession, they try quickly connect 5 passes in same box before transfering the ball to the other side.
- If the ball goes out of bounds by the defending team, the ball will restart in the same box. If the ball goes out of bounds by the team in possession, the opposing team in the other box will begin posession.
- All red and blue players in first and third zone can offer support and receive set (not limited to example in image).
- 2 touches maximum for all players.
Duration:
- 4 x 2.5min games with 90 seconds recovery between games.
Progressions:
- 1 defender from zone where possession started can defend the set in the middle zone.
- Use 1 touch for all players.
Tactical Objectives:
- Opening passing lines to teammates in second line.
- Supporting actions to guarantee the next pass.
- Change of attitude to recover possession after losing it.
Physical Objectives:
- Improve acceleration/deceleration actions.
- Improve strength in duels.

Conditioned Game: 6+GK vs 6+GK + 2
Description:
- Games 1 and 2 begin with GK in possession (3+GK vs 3 + 1), and the team in possession must connect 2 passes in first zone before playing forward to teammate in third zone.
- Like the possession exercise, the receiver in third zone must set the ball to teammate in middle zone, and the supporting player will then play entry pass into third zone for a 3v3+1 attack.
- All red and blue players in first and third zone can offer support and receive set (not limited to example in image).
- If the defending team recovers possession, the entire game space is free play until a goal is scored or the ball goes out of bounds for both teams.
- After a goal is scored or the ball goes out of bounds, the game begins with the opposite goalkeeper for the initial 3+GK vs 3 + 1 build up and 3v3+1 in third zone.
- The neutral players are always limited to their zones
- Games 3 and 4: Free play, however the neutral players are still limited to their zone.
- Offside rule is implemented in games 3 and 4.
Duration:
- 4 x 4min games with 2 minute recovery between games.
Progressions:
- 1 defender from zone where possession started can defend the set in the middle zone.
- Increase mandatory pass total in first zone before progressing forward (i.e. 5 passes).
Tactical Objectives:
- Opening passing lines to teammates in second line.
- Supporting actions to guarantee the next pass.
- Passing towards favorable spaces to create scoring chances.
- Change of attitude to recover possession after losing it.
Physical Objectives:
- Improve acceleration/deceleration actions.
- Improve strength in duels.

Technical-Tactical-Physical Circuit (15 mins)
Warm Up: Technical-Tactical-Physical Circuit with Ball
Description:
- Balls begin at E and C.
- A jumps over hurdles and receives a pass from E, dribbles by the mannequin and plays to B.
- B sets the ball to E and then E uses one touch to pass to C.
- After setting the ball to E, B runs through the hurdles and accelerates behind the C cone.
- When C receives from E, they use 2 touches to pass to D and then zig-zag through the poles and goes behind D cone.
- D passes the ball to E. Then the sequence repeates itself.
- For the first repetition of the 4 sets, C begins by passing the ball directly to D and continues movements as previously described.
- There will be two circuits set up at the same time going in different directions, so after 2 sets, the groups will switch to train the opposite direction.
Player Rotation:
- A-E-B-C-D-A
Duration:
- 4 x 2min with 90 seconds recovery between sets.
Progressions:
- Wall pass at mannequin.
- Running with ball through poles from C to D.
Tactical Objectives:
- Introduce the topic of offering support and playing the free player.
Physical Objectives:
- Prepare the players for the physical demands of the session - accelerations, decelerations, jumps, duels etc.
