8 players minimum, 2 balls
The activity begins with a player from each end passing to the first receiver. The first receiver will take their first touch around the outside of the first cone and in the direction of their next pass. Players are encouraged to seperate from cone/marker before recieving on the back foot to play forward. Players should check their shoulder as ball moves to develop good habits of awareness of the field. Players pass and then follow their pass. Each ball continues for 3-4 minutes.

- Scanning/Checking shoulder - when you thnk its coming, when you know it's coming, when its on its way - looking for space, opponents or team mates.

Receiving on the half turn
10x10 yard area
4 players and 2 balls
3 players positioned on the outside and one player the "receiver" positioned in the center
The exercise starts with player 1 passing the ball to the receiver, the receiver controls the ball on the half turn and passes the ball with his/her second touch to player 2 on the opposite corner.
The recevier then checks in to receive the second ball from player 3 on the half turn allowing for a pass to player 1 who has rotated to the open corner.
After the outisde players pass the ball to the receiver they must rotate to the open corner to be available for the next ball.
Each receiver works for 90 seconds before rotating to the outside - work off both feet.
Coaching Points:

- Open body position (receiver should be able to see passing player and target player without having to reposition)
- Passing weight and accuracy, passing to receivers back foot
- Close first touch to set up quick release with second touch
