Organization:
-15-16 players

Simple tag game to warm-up the players and work on quick changes of direction. If player gets tagged they are frozen until a free player crawls through their legs. Change taggers frequently.
Variations/Progressions:
-Change movements - speed walking, running, skipping, galloping
Key Points:
-Good agility, balance, coordination and speed with movements
-Awareness of space and players around them

Dribbling and Ball Mastery activity to review a variety of techniques and concepts. Players use all the space to dribbling in and around the space.
Variations/Progressions:
-decrease the space - make the area smaller
-add chalenges - dribbline between 2 players for a point, perform a turn at the wall, etc
-play a version of the tag game but with the ball

Indidvidual work for the players to review the moves they have developed so far. They work with 2 cones - performing a fake/feint move at the first one, then dribbling to the second one and peforming a change of direction move. Repeat, and changing the moves.
Variations/Progressions:
change the moves - fake/take, scissors, inside/outside cut, u-turn, etc

Players split into 2 teams. Play starts with coach calling a teams calling, that is the signal for that player to come and receive the ball. Opposition defender player can move on attackers first touch - they then play 1v1 to either goals.
Variations/Progressions:
-Both players can come out at the same time

-Good first touch
-Turn to face the defender quickly
-Dribble at defender with speed
-Quick changes of direction/speed
-Acceleration away from defender
-Ball control through gate
