Wave Game Creating & Exploiting Overloads // In Possession // Welsh Way Principles -
Understand when and how to exploit a numerical advantage against the opposition. Welsh Principles: - Find Spare man, 2v1's 3v2's & Central 4 Vs 3's
Organisation: -The game will take place in a non-specific area, using 36 x 44 yards. It will be a wave practice with the blue team in focus for creating and exploiting overloads.
1. The red player will receive a pass from assistant coach and attack the Blue goalkeeper.
2. The Blue team then dribble or receive a pass from the coach for a 2v1 against the Red that had just attacked.
3. Once the attack finishes the two Red players on the outside cones join to form a 3v2 attack against the blue team and the coach feeds into them.
4. When the attack comes to an end 2 blue players join to form a 4v3 attack.

Challenges: -
To create and exploit the overload! - Play quickly to improve opportunities in overload.
Target:
To score or assist off a creative run - Attackers RED outscore the opposition BLUE
Conditions - 6 seconds to score from regaining possession. - 8 seconds attack max for red Blocks: - Total 10 Minutes
4 minutes Terminal Intervention Creative movement/ whatever is being observed 4 minutes play resumed concurrent feedback throughout Rest & Recovery withing this session happens naturally as the wave practice allows a rest period in between each active participation.
