Various 9v9 Formations for Your Team to Utilize
It is important to remember that your team's formation is ultimately a starting point for how your teams wants to defend and the natural options you want to provide your team in the attack. Teams playing the same formation can look and operate entirely differently based upon their team's style of play (high press or defending in a low block or building out of the back in a patient possession oriented way or playing direct and looking to get in behind immediately) and also the individual qualities of the players on the team.
Not every team or every player has the capability to perform in the same manner and your formation and tactics can change within your team based on when you sub.
As you determine the best formation for your team it is important to gauge:
If you have questions about the formations do not hesitate to contact the technical staff to walk through it.

More aggressive version of the 3-4-1. Start with 3 up top and a really good formation to press out of. This formation provides less cover for you in the back defensively but puts more options up top and more pressure on the other teams back line. It is important to have strong defenders who can defend 1v1 in this formation.

Another balanced version of the 3-4-1 with some slight variation where you can be more exposed in the true middle of the field but provide more coverage in the back and more of a true presence up top with help for your 9. With a true holding 6 your outside backs especially on the strong side should be very aggressive defensively and offensively. You provide more true support for the 9 with the 10. However there will be less options centrally so you need to high quality center mids who can get on the ball and quickly switch it or find the gaps forward to take advantage of your numbers on the flanks and up top.

Balanced formation with flexibility. Provides a strong pressing shape where you can overload a side on the build out and force turnovers. Outside midfielders need to do a lot of work providing width in the attack and recovering defensively. Two forwards should work off each other with one showing and the other looking to stretch the field.

Very fluid formation that is built around 3 strong center midfielders. Your outside midfielders need to be fit to provide width in the attack and recover defensively. You can use your 6 to drop into the back line in possession and split your center back to give different looks. The 9 needs to be able to find the ball and it is important for the 10 to be able to link up and play off the 9.

More of a defensive formation where you sit back more defensively and look to counter. Outside backs need to get up the field to provide width. Keep your forwards high to play off them and look to get into the space behind the other team you create through your low pressure.

3-4-1
Balanced formation that gives you a ton of flexibility. Can morph into 3-2-3 or 3-4-1 diamond depending on personal. Creates more support on the flanks and more starting players in the back line to give more cover in both of those positions. You lose attacking options centrally high by playing one up top but this is good formation to use to overload the flanks and stretch the other team wide to create gaps to attack centrally.
