Switch the play
Setup - grid with 4v4+1, 1 ball setup as shown
Each team has 2 players in the grid, 2 players on opposite sides on outside of grid and a joker in the grid.
Aim - switch the ball from one side to the other and back.
Instructions -
Red to start at one end, play pass into team mate inside grid, red team attempts to play pass to outside player at opposite end.
If Blue team win the ball they attempt to play pass to outside team mate, drill continues for 3minutes or 5 successful returns.
Rotate positions.
Unlimited touches for players inside grid, max 2 touches for outside players.
Progression
Limit touches to 2 for inside players, 1 touch for outside players.

Playing through the middle third
Setup - field broken into thirds with 2 wide gates and centre square as shown.
1v1 in end grids, 2v2 +1 in middle grid, server each end.
Aim - to play through the middle third as quickly as possible, 1point for playing through the centre link player or 2 points for playing through a wide gate. Pass has to be controlled to receive points.
Instructions
Play starts with server/coach at one end , who passes into blue team.
Blue attempts to play pass forward.
Red player attaempts to cut pass out.
If ball makes it to the opposite end team in possession attempts to play back to starting end.
If defending team wins the ball they attempt to retain possession and play to opposite end.
Key points -
CM's are free to move around middle grid but maust stay out of centre square.
CM's to provide as much space as possible, one CM to show support for the ball
Other CM to use the movement of deepest CM as a trigger to go and receive the ball
Players to rotate and combine to play the ball forward
CM's play on different lines
