Football/Soccer Session Plan Drill (Colour): Part 1

Part 1 (15 mins)

Set up 2 cones/poles for 2 sets of servers and a cone for the striker to start on.

A passes into C who turns and shoots, C then goes back to the marker and receives a pass from B, turns and shoots.

Rotate positions A moves to B and then B goes to C and then C back to A.

(Player must shoot before line/ GK cannot go past that line)

Coaching Points:

- Use back foot to turn

- Aim for the corners of the goal

- Head over the ball

- Be decisive in where you are shooting

- Laces or inside?

- Think about where your non kicking foot should be.

Part 2 (15 mins)

Part 2,

Continue with the same sequence from part 1.

Now add in 2 defenders to the sides of the goal. One defender goes out once striker has touched the ball. When striker then receives next pass the other defender will now go out to defend and the other defender will rest. This will create game realistic 1v1 decision making.
