20x20 Grid
2 players inside with 1 ball
A starts with ball and passes to C
C passes back to A, C goes into center of grid
A passes to D and D then passes to C who has entered the grid
C passes to B
B starts over with combination play on the outside
Start slow to get the pattern
Can we improve intensity to 1 and 2 touch play
Coaching Points:
Angled approach to the ball to allow open body position and be able to see the playing area
Supporting player must recognize where the play needs to go to and set up in those areas
Supporting player must also have open body shape to receive the pass
Passes must be accurate and appropriately weighted
Passes on the surface
Receive with back foot
Hold up play and turning with the ball
Communicate

4 goals marked off by cones on each side of grid
Blue plays left to right
Green plays top to bottom
Blue starts with ball and attempts to beat green defender 1v1 and pass to player on opposite goal
If successful the defender stays in and defends the blue player the ball was passed to
If ball is played out of play a green will attack 1v1 against the blue player that lost possession
Green should attempt to steal the ball and play to either green to start 1v1

Look for opportunities to beat defender - square body position

(2) 20X15 grids with 5 yard transition area between them - 20x35 total space
Blue in possession 4v3 in one grid
Another group of 4 blues in opposite grid
Green defends with 3 in possession grid
2 greens outside of grid at edges of transition area and one green in transition area
Blue in possession attempts to connect 5 passess
2 blue from opposite grid can enter transition area with green defender to create 6v4
After blue completes required number of passes they can transition to opposite side through one of the blues in the transition area
Blues in transition area along with the green in transition area and the 2 outside move to defend
2 blue from previous possession move into transition area
Green attempts to win ball
After green wins possession all 6 will play 6v4 and attempt to score in small goal on that end
If blue plays ball out of possession a coach will play ball into a green that will start attack
If green plays the ball out of possession play will reset with possession to blue

Session start time 1 min break and quickly emphasize how play is going / What is working, what needs improvement
