10 Minutes on each progression. (20 mins max.)
Drill 1 - Short Passing.
Players stand opposite each other and pass the ball back and forth.
- Aim to do it within 2 touches.
- Quality of pass. (pace, power and accuracy).
- Quality of Control. (no rebound).
- Type of pass. (For now. Has to be inside of foot pass as distance is short).
Do this for a few minutes to see where players are at technical skill, then progress to a longer pass.
Progression 1.
Longer passes. Players in the middle move back to the cones behind them, doubling the distance of the pass.
- Same Coaching points apply.
- Type of pass and control can vary. Inside of the foot pass can still be used by now alongside other passes such as a driven pass and chip pass.
- Aerial Control is something that may need to be introduced.

Rondos. - 20-25 Minutes. (Depending on Quality of session and how much time is spent intervening).
- Each team as an area to which the ball must stay in.
- Players are given numbers.
- When a number is called the player who's number is called must run to the outside of the grid and pick up a bib of their teams colour before entering the opposition grid to try to win the ball.
- Bibs will be places either side.
- Encourage players to do it 1 touch.
- No players should be standing still!!
How to Score;
- Create 10 passes without the defender getting the ball.
- If the defener wins the ball their team gets a point.
Coaching Points;
- Pass and Move. (DON'T STAND STILL).
- Quality of pass. (Short, Sharp passes).
- Movement. (Create angles).
- Why do we pass and move? So defending players cannot tackle us or win the ball easily.
- Why create angles when looking for a pass? becuase we can't pass through people.

- Bibs will placed on the cross bar of the goals to which the team can score in.
- The bibs will always be moving throughout the course of the game so it is important to keep an eye on what goals you can score in.
How to score;
- simple score into the goals where your teams colour bib is to score 1 point.
- If your team has no goals to score in making 5 passes earns your team 2 points.
Progression 1.
- Allow players from their own team to move their own teams bibs from the goals to decide where they want to score.
