Small field area dribbling (15 mins)

Potential Theme/Length of game: Dribbling in small field area/15 min

Organization/Rules:

Divide the whole group in two and make 2 squares (10x10 meters). Spread the 2 groups on the 2 grids. At some point the coachs gives a signal to start dribbling with both feet. After some time the coach will give further signals for dribbling with left foot only and for right foot only.

Possible Progressions/Variations:

1. Stop the ball with left sole/right sole 2. Stop the ball with right shin/left shin 3. Juggling

4. Juggling

Passing and receiving (20 mins)

Potential Theme/Length of game:  20 min/Passing and Receiving

Organization/Rules:

Make two grids of 10m x 10m.Three players will stand in each corner. In corner (A) player(1) will start passing the ball. With the right foot Player (A) passes to Player (B). Player (A) will follow the pass and joins the queue in corner (B) . The player in corner (B) receives the ball and passes with right foot to player (C). Player (B) will jump over the markers and joins the queue in corner (C). player (C) passes the ball to player in corner (D) and runs over the ladder to corner (D). Player in corner (D) will pass the ball to the player in corner (A) and does a zig zag run to corner (A).

1. Receive with the outside of the foot 2. Correct body shape 3. Quality passes 4. Always look up 5. First start with right side then change to left side

Organization/Rules:

Divide the group into 2 groups (1 defending and 1 attacking group). The first defending player passes a diagonal ball to the first attacking player. The defender will press to win the ball back and defend the goal.

Defending 5v5 (15 mins)

Organization/Rules:

Divide the group in 2 teams again. The defenders have to win the ball from the attacking team. The coach will pass the ball to attackers to start the action. The attackers will try to score in the two small goals. Once the defenders win the ball back they will start a counter attack.
