Session Objective:

Organization: 18-yard box. 4-5 cones placed along the outside of the box. One ball placed at each cone. Split players into three teams, plus one GK. Adjust according to numbers. Teams play 5v5 or 4v4+1 inside the box.
Activity: One team (blue) is designated the attacking team and receives four or five opportunities to score. Red is initially designated the defending team. Black are servers. Each of the balls is played in one at a time. Upon a goal being scored or a ball going out of play, the next ball is played in from a server until all are completed. Teams then switch - defenders move to outside. Attackers become defenders and support players become attackers. Play 2-3 rounds. Total goals wins each round.
Progression: Servers can act as support for their respective teams.

Organization: half field - full width. Supply of balls with a server at half. Split field in half.
Activity: 8v8 game with a modification. Initially play 8v6 favour Blue in the half field with two remaining Red players waiting on the other side (GK can join defenders). Upon completing 5 passes, the two additional players join in and the full 8v8 game is played. When defenders (Blue) regain possession, they move the game back into the small grid. Play 6 min games with a two-minute rest and switch attacking roles.
Progression: make the game fully transitional with the defending team being able to bring the ball back into the half field and becoming the attackers.

3v2 to 2v1 Recovery (10 mins)
Organization: 20*30 grid - two set ups. Two small goals per grid with a supply of balls outside each. Players split into two groups (adjust as needed).
Activity: Activity: 3v2 attacking/recovery exercise. Red players attack 3v2 and must past half for a goal to count. As soon as the attack is finished (goal or ball out of play), Blue immediately look to transition 2v1 against Red. Whomever took the last shot or lost the ball for Red, becomes the lone defender. The sequence continues with Blue attacking 3v2 next. Play 3*2 minute games with 1 minute rest periods.
Progressions:
Play 4v3 to 3v2.
