In this activity the players will be shown a few passing patterns. After the players understand the concept they will be asked to create their own passing patterns.

The players will have a certain amount of passes before they go at goal. The passing pattern will vary.

As the coach encourage your players to communicate and to give each other responsibilities such as who will be counting? who will communicate to make the final pass?

SSG (20 mins)

In this exercise the players will be split in two teams of 6. There will be 1 player who is neutral and inside the zone. In each zone there will be 3 defenders and 3 attackers. When attacking the team will have to look for combination plays to attack the goal, the team in possession will be able to use the support neutral player to create an overload. Players must be moving around to create the space to attack.

If the defending team gets the ball they must immediately pass the ball to the neutral player and attack.

Variation if to easy- You can allow a defender to push up into the zone and allow the neutral player to enter the attacking 3rd zone.
