This is a sample Zone 1 session in the Play Practice Play method. Notice this session also has a specific topic of Playing Out Of The Back. For this age group you should only do a topic specific session like this 1 out of every 4 sessions. You can use Play Practice Play method for all your sessions but it should be done in the context of creating a total footballer.

Keep playing under the ball goes out of play then restart again with ball at the goalkeeper.
Variations:
Key Coaching Points:
1. Positioning of the 3, 4 and 2.
2. Players must drop behind build out line anytime the goalkeeper has the ball in her hands or on goalkicks.
3. Pass back to the goalkeeper if you need it (on pass backs defenders do not need to drop back to build out line). Goalkeeper must play the ball with her feet.
