Grid 2 x 18 Yard Box (36X36)
3 v 2 focusing on immediate pressure & support. 30 seconds to score. If defenders win ball, immediately attack small goals. Keep Score.
Coaching Points: Encourage immediate pressure to prevent shot. Pressure away from goal and team mates, jockey close to get head down to deny easy shot or pass, delay and force to cover. Second defender should be in close support to double if possible, but aware of other attackers to move to pressure them if a pass is made, position to deny penetration. Defenders have to play with no fear of being beaten.

15X15 Grid, smal gaol at each end.
Play 3v3+1 Possession.
Progression: Add goals at each end.
Coaching Points: Transition quickly to defense, try to win the ball back before they get organized. Get pressure on the ball, push in a direction so that team mates can shape their support, support ball in direction of pressure - dont get split, DO NOT dive in - be patient, anticipate pass and who pressurte will be, COMMUNICATE.

15 X20 Grid divided into 3 zones of 5X20. 4 Players in each zone.
Players in the middle zone try to keep the team in possession switch to the opposite zone. Ball must be played on the ground. Team in possession move the ball quickly - 1 touch, to try and create gaps in the defending team. When defending team wins the ball they play it to opposite team and awitch with the team who lost the ball.
Coaching Points: Defending team must move together. Pressure the player with the ball and support that pressure - Defend the line of Confrontation. Balancing players should cover gaps and defend the line of Denial. Shape of runs anticipation of pass, pressure directs the play, do not get split, Balancing playes should position themselves to cut out penetrating passes. Communicate.

3 Zone Game (20X45, 3 zones 15 Yards wide)
Players play 5v3 in 20X15 Grid, 3 defenders try to deny long/penetrating pass, try to make play predictable then limit area attacking team has to play in. 2 players in the middle zone look to pick up any ball played through. If defending team wins the ball - they play to opposite team and switch with team who lost the ball. Passes must be made on the ground.
1st Progression: Attacking team may play the ball in the air.
Coaching Points: Pressure dictates direction of play, keep feet moving (no diving in), 3 defenders work to deny ball leaving their zone, 2 defenders work to deny corossing into opposite zone. shape of recovery runs if attackers are able to swing the ball should be to first get between palyer and line seperating zones then pressing the ball. Note movement of deeper defenders when ball is swung side to side. When long ball is played pressure should be immediate (especially when ball is played in the air) and dictate direction of ball and positioning of players behind the pressure. Encourage informational communication.

5v3 (12X12 Grid)
- Play 5 v 3, defenders work together to limit space attackers have to play in working not to get split.
- 2nd Progression: Attackers try to have the ball touch 3/4 sides to score a point.
Coaching Points: Communicate, work and move together, Pressure player dictates direction, Dont get split adjust roles of Pressure, Support, Cover.

15X15 Grid, Players in lines of 3/4 on the middle of each line.
Player A passes to Player B and moves to close down - Player B receives the ball and takes his touch away from pressure passing to player C, Player D anticipating the pass moves to close player C. Defender moves to the back of the opposite line, passer follows his pass.
- If lines become unbalanced, encourage players to read the game and balance them during play.
Coaching Points: Defender should curve run to push play in one direction, second defender should read his team mates run and anticipate which player to close down next. Communicate who is pressing and which direction. Pressing defender should practice good technique and defensive posture when closing attacker; Close - Control - Contain
