Possession 17 - 4v4v4
.
Area Size: 25x20 + 7x7 inner square
Players: 12 (4 Red + 4 Blue + 4 Yellow)
.
Drill: This drill is a very fun, competitive, effective and simple possession drill. Players are split into 3 teams of 4. Players work together in their teams to keep possession while being put under pressure by an opposition player. Once the team in possession have put together 6 passes, they have to transfer the ball to another zone, by playing it down the line. Once a player in the other zone has controlled the ball, then a yellow player can leave their middle zone to try and win the ball. When a yellow player wins the ball, the coach will play the ball into the other zone. After a select time, 5 minutes, the middle group change over. Team with the least amount of points does a end of drill challenge.
.
Points:
- 5 passes + transfer = 1 point
- Win possession = 1 point

Possession 16 - 6v6 Hexagon
.
Area Size: 20x20 square but middle streched out to create hexagon shape.
Players: 12 (6 Red + 6 Blue)
.
Drill: A very nice and easy possession based drill working in a different shape to the usually rectangle or square players may be familar with, to add variety to the drills you deliver. 3 Reds and 3 Blues find a line on the outside (Every other) and the remaining players go within the hexagon. Players work together in their teams to keep possession of the ball using the outside players in their colour to their advantage. The team in possession must keep the ball for aslong as possibe because the more passes the more points. For every 10 passes a team gets, a opposition outside player can enter the hexagon creating a 3v4 to win back the ball. So if a team can put together 30 passes, then there should be 3v6 in the middle. Once they win back the ball, the 3 players must go back to their lines. A fun and different version of a possession drill.
.
Points:
- 5 passes = 1 point
- Regain possession with 3 players in middle = 3 Points
- Regain possession with 4 players in middle = 2 Points
- Regain possession with 5 players in middle = 1 Point
