Organization:
1. Setup as shown (Half field)
2. 14-16 players.
3. 8-10 balls.
Instructions:
1. Back Four Start 25-28yds out of the goal.
2. Coach says "GO" All 4 attacking players dribble out towards goal. Coach calls a number, that player continues dribbling towards goal. The rest of the players drop off.
3. Backline adjust to defending ball.
4. If coach calls a number from the beginning, it represents that player playing a long pass.Over the top
5. Coach is able to call two/three numbers and attack with two/three players.
Coaching Points:
1. Dropping as a unit. Compact as opponent gets closer.
2. Once team passes Line of confrontation start stepping to ball.
3. 1st defender - closest player to ball press.
4. 2nd defender(s) - Shift into compact shape, cover space behind 1st defender (angle) - Prepared to become 1st defender.
5. 3rd defender - shift inside to deny penetrating pass on opposite side, on line with covering player.
6. Ability to shift roles as quickly as ball is moving is vital to success.

3. Players attack 8v5 to goal. Play is over with goal,clearance or save/miss.

6. Holding mid, look to screen pass to the #9, play on width of the 18yd box. Security system for the backline. Keep play in front at all times.

2. Field is layed out into 5 vertical zones.
3. Players can score after completing 8 passess.
4. Use zones to learn Positional Play - Beginner concepts.
Coaching Points:
1. Ability to play one touch to get out of tight areas.
2. Speed of wide players to back pedal to create maximun width.
3. Movement off thee ball is key to possession success. WORK SMART! provide correct angles of support - Bounce passes are vital to relieve pressure.
4. Learn principles of positional play. Numerical Superiority & Players creating maximun width to exploit pressing from opponent.
