Organization:
1.20 x 20 yard area circle of cones set up in the center, set up as shown
2.4x Pugg Goals
3.Lots of soccer balls
4.Disc cones
5.Parents required to assist
Story/Description:
1.Did you know that Hippos eat soccer balls?
2.We have four very hungry Hippos waiting to be fed (pugg goals that parents hold)
3.Players are split into groups and assigned a Hippo to feed
4.Players must run into the middle to collect a soccer ball from the pool
5.Dribble this as close as they can to the Hippo and kick the ball into its mouth (parents raise and drop the pugg goal to signify a mouth opening and closing)
6.When all the soccer balls are gone each player must count to see how many soccer balls they have in their Hippo's mouth
Coaching Points:
1.Get the ball as close as you can before you make your kick into the Hippo's mouth
2.Head up to make sure you kick the ball when the Hippo has its mouth open
3.No hands when collecting the ball from the pool
Developments:
1.Set a time limit. Players now only have 1 minute to feed their Hippo
2.Ask the parents to open and close the Hippo mouth quickly

Organization:
25x25 grid
Red Cones on one side to represent starting point (home) and orange cones on the far side is the end zone "
Instructions:
Players must travel from home (yellow cones) to end zone (Orange cones) without being caught by the Police officer (coach)
Players can only move when coaches hold up different stop lights
-Red (stop ball)
-yellow (messi touch)
-Green (ronaldo touch)
if spotted moving by the Police officer when RED light goes up he/she must go back home (Yellow cones)
Coaching Points:
Improve motor skills and have kids work on stopping their body immediately.
Introduce head up dribbling - kids must keep eyes on coach to know when to freeze, while completing various tasks (picking up pennies, dribbling around candy shops in different directions)
- observe all the space/objectives within Candy Land
Close control with their ball during each time across the grid.
Progressions:
Introduce Candy Land - Coaches lay area with candy (pennies) and players must pick up their favorite candies up on the way to candy land.

Dribbling - Despicable Me
Organisation:
20x25 area with 4 5x5 squares in each corner. (Yellow cones if available)
Plenty of balls
Instructions:
At coach command Minions must run to the middle to retrieve a ball and dribble back to their corner. Upon return, next Minion runs to do the same.
Once all balls are all gone, team with the most in their corner wins.
Progression: Allow dribbling with single foot adding a move (feint, roll, etc.)
Regression: Run with ball in hand
Competitive: How many can your team retrieve?
Coaching points:
Outside (pinky-toe) for close control.
Laces for fast, longer distance dribbling.
Head up to locate your corner and avoid other players

-Orange cones places all over blue field
-Players stand and wait for instructions, all with their boat
Instructions:
-Players dribble around orange cones which are islands, Evey island they get around they get a point
-Use inside of foot only
-Use outside of foot only
-as fast as you can with both feet
-Scrub the deck near the island

Sharks & Minnows (15 mins)
Organization:
20x30yd grid - with 2yd end zones
Players line up inside one end zone with a ball (minnows)
Two players hold pinnies and stand inside grid w/o ball (sharks)
Instructions:
Minnows try to dribble to other side without getting ball touched by the sharks - must stop inside end zone
If ball is touched/stolen/lost, minnow becomes a shark
Coaching Points:
How do we get to other side without being tagged? - avoid/fake out taggers, find space, go fast
How can we dribble faster? - run fast, longer touches
How do make sure we can stop ball inside end zone? - slow down/smaller touches
