Training session designed to focus on the reverse hit.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Hockey images.
Essence:
- To work on the reverse and forehand steal.
Structure:
- The orange player dribbles slowly, accentuating the ball on the outside so it becomes easier to steal.
- The blue player runs up and does a steal and then goes and takes a reverse shot.
Technical Points:
- When going for the steal the stick is low on the floor and on an angle. That way the stick doesn't go under the ball and we don't lost it.

Structure:
- The player on the yellow cones does an open receive into a sweeping lift.
- The right hand side is an forehand sweep, whilst the left hand side.
Technical Points:
- Make sure you let the ball come through and adjust the stick whilst being low to get a sweep off.
