3v3 Attacking In Waves (15 mins)
Set Up: Half pitch.
2 small goals on the half way line.
3 defenders on the pitch v 3 attackers who enter the pitch on the coaches call.
Method:
Attackers in groups of 3 Vs 3 defenders who will stay on.
The ball will always start with the player in the middle and attackers must perform 3 passes before making an attempt on the big goal.
If the defenders can win the ball back ,they are not limited to an amount of passes and must score in 1 of the 2 small goals.
Once the ball is out of play or a goal is scored the next wave of attackers enter the field.
Coaching Points: Attackers are to be explosive with a high attacking pace from the start to challenge defenders and not slow moving to avoid quick press.
Be effective through positioning and communication for both attackers and defenders.
Defenders should quick ,aggressively press and force a transition or attackers into wide areas to limit shots through the centre and get goal side/ball side for balls across the box.
Attackers should be looking to combine, drag defenders out and finish.

7v7 Small Sided Game with 1v1 in the wide areas. (15 mins)
Set Up: 2 big goals in one half of the pitch. 2 teams 7v7. Wide areas marked out for the 1v1.
Method: 2 teams are set up in a 7v7 ,1-2-3-1 formation with players labelled #5 and #6 staying in the wide channel in a 1v1 situation.
Play starts with keepers ,and when the ball is dead it is restarted from the nearest keeper.
Players inside and outside the lines are not permitted to cross over the line to encourage the 1v1 in wide areas and stretching the pitch.
In order to score ,each goal must be assisted by the player in the wide channel.
Coaching Points: Can we get accurate short passes to move the move the ball forward and take advantage of the stipulation of the wide areas and exploiting this.
Encourage the players to make decisions quickly. When we have the ball out wide can the midfield support and striker drop off to provide numerical advantage.

Set up: 25x25 yard area
4 players at the corners
4 players inside the grid with ball at their feet
Set up an extra grid if you have enough players
Method: Players dribble around the grid and will find the free player at the corner cone and perform the passing actions 1)right foot pass. 2)left foot pass . And then dribble to the next available player to repeat the action.
Progression: After performing the passing action the players will swap positions, player from the corner cone comes out to take the place of the player in the grid.
Coaching Points: Dribble with the laces to keep the ball tight to the feet and develop touch.
Open body to perform pass.
Receive on back foot and take touch before returning pass.
Scan the area when dribbling to have a view of next available pass and to avoid other players in the grid.
