Build Out Variation #2 Goal of Build Out is to find a player who is able to turn and face forward. This will most likely be the weak side CM or FWD who has dropped in or the Wing back after a switch.
CB'S - Your principle will never change can you break a line adding the information of either turn or set. Be brave with your pass selection. If you can't play forward then play sideways and the next CB looks to play forward or switch the play.
CB's - In this variation CB's you have three or four different passing variations. The channel ball (longest arrow) is a great ball to allow you to have more time next time you build out. Again if nothing is on we can switch the play.
WB's - In this variation when the ball is played to your side, go higher up taking a player with you. You may be a direct ball in this variation and if the opposition is high we may play a direct channel ball depending on the positioning of their full-back. If the ball is switched you are also high (LWB) for example (RWB) tucks back in.
CM's - One CM leaves the central area to come out wide to create an overload and also vacate a passing option forward for the CB to find. Other player's roles do not change, the other 6 in the double pivot make sure you come central if the other pivot goes out wide.
CAM's still looking to receive the ball behind opposition lines.
FWD's - one forward still dropping in opposite to the 10. Other FWD always central threatening in behind or being an outlet centrally to hold the ball up.

GK ideas - Goal of Build Out is to find a player who is able to turn and face forward. This will most likely be the weak side CM or FWD who has dropped in or the Wing back after a switch.
GK'S - Assess Your Options:
Option #1 - If you can ever play either of the 6's and they can TURN. Trust them
Option #2 - CB in build-out. Then be an option to play with them
Option #3 - Longer ball to wing-back. Think which wing-back is most likely to win a ball aerially too.
Option #4 - Get the team up and in and play longer

CB ideas - The goal of Build Out is to find a player who is able to turn and face forward. This will most likely be the weak side CM or FWD who has dropped in or the Wing back after a switch.
CB'S - All CB's sometimes patience is required in all your decisions to allow wing-backs or center midfielders to pick up the correct positions. So you may need to play a few passes to allow the shape to get set.
The principle will always be can you break a line with brave passing.
Central Center Back if you are stepping in I would like to see you finding either player who makes up the two highest players in the box. This needs to be accompanied by the information of either turn or set. Your third option can always to play a ball in behind.
Central Center back if you are not stepping in you can look to play wider with switching to your other CB's or your wingbacks.
Outside center backs - ideally would like you to find the furthest player forward after the play is switched. You may also step in if the space is there or again switch if you can't play forward.

Build Out Variation #1
Build Out Variation #1 Goal of Build Out is to find a player who is able to turn and face forward. This will most likely be the weak side CM or FWD who has dropped in or the Wing back after a switch.
Start in 3-5-2 play from Goalkeeper.
If we play to the RCB (right center back). RWB (Right Wing Back) supports.
CB'S - Each CB should look to play forward to break lines. If unable to break a line we switch the play with both the central center back and left CB looking to play forward if possible.
FWD'S - One forward drop in to create a central overload. One most occupy the last defender, always threatening space in behind.
CM'S - Opposite movement to the play be aware of your spacing to leave space for pass forward. Come underneath play after the ball is played forward.
WB'S - Which direction we play dictates your role. If we play to your side from the first pass offer a passing option. As the play switches, the opposite wing-back can begin to get higher as the ball switches. (LWB in the video) RWB tuck in towards the middle but ready to release forward and wide if we are able to progress the ball forward.
