Set up:
Each player has a ball and dribbles freely around area
Introduce 3 turns/moves to practice
Introduce 3/4 footskills relating to practice
Key coaching points:
Technique over speed
Awarness
Use different surfaces of the foot
Progressions:
Add competition to footskills

Set-up:
-Players stand opposite each other (distance can be varied)
-One player passes to partner with inside of the foot, the partner receives the ball with the inside of their foot and passes the ball back in the passing channel
Coaching points:
-Standing foot next to the ball pointing towards partner with knee slughtly bent
-Pendulum motion of leg is desired technique to pass the ball
-Ensure inside of the foot is used
-Give players indication of where to strike the ball
Progressions:
-Move cones closer for quicker passing and receiving or move cones further away for longer passes
-Different receiving techniques; sole of foot, outside laces, inside of left then pass with right etc
-Points system implemented to add competition

Set-up:
-12-14 players with a ball each dribbling, 2 players passing in between the dribbling players with a ball between them
-Players move freely within the square
-Passing pair moves within the square passing between them, avoiding dribbling players
Coaching points:
-Looking-up to assess the situation and identify clear passing opportunities
-Recognition of space and time to execute accurate passes to partner
-Ball protection important whilst seeking opportunity to pass
-Passes must be delivered through, rather than over players moving around square
-Recognition of different weights to put on passes relative to space and time available to execute
Progressions:
-Reduce area within which players operate
-Add more ‘pairs’ passing amongst the dribblers
-Add more dribblers
-Increase number of combining passing players (to 3’s, 4’s etc)

Set-up:
-6v6 game with no GK's
-Half/three-quarter sized field split into middle section and wings
-Central defenders/offensive players can only stay in central zone
-Full backs and wingers can only stay in the wide zone
-The activity encourages 1v1 play, attacking/defending, marking a man and basic game stategy for players who lack an understanding of where to be on the field
Coaching points:
-Game understanding of where to be positioned and where the ball could potentially go
-Receive the ball with head up and decide whether to drive into space or pass to a teammate
-Passing in correct areas
-Can offensive players beat the defender in a 1v1 situation; centrally or out wide
-Encourage players for trying hard and playing positively
Progressions:
-Add offside lines
-Add shooting lines
-Smaller goals

Set-up:
-Players (X's) have to escape through any unguarded gate
-Once escaped, players return to the area and look for a different unguarded gate
-How many times can a player escape?
-Players run forward through the gate, laterally across and backwards through the other side at first to incroperate different movements
Coaching points:
-Have the players escape in lots of different way
-Adjust the distances for the gates to accomodate individual needs
-Watch the guards do not come into the practice
Progressions:
-Guards and players hops on one leg
-Have a tagger in the middle- players can still escape but try to avoid being tagged
-Players in the middle dribble their own ball trying to escape and evade the tagger
