Skill (20 minutes)
* As with Technique, but taking one player from each group and placing them in the previous square. This player dribbles in opposition to the group to create some opposition for the dribblers
* All players perform 5 instances of the task, when Group leader has completed 5, then he/she calls the team to dribble to the next square.
* As the group dribbles from square to sqaure the 'defending player' tries to tag the dribblers before they reach the square.

* 8 v 8 (7 outfield + 1 GK)
* Start from goalkeepers - encourage the free defender to have chance to dribble forwards with the ball
* Observe the game, choose a team to coach and then look for opportunities to encourage, praise and coach the dribbling and ball skills as they come up
* Allow the game to flow, the players will dribble, recreate good things as well as things that can be done better
* Re-iterate the key factors: Close control, head up, changing pace and direction of the ball. Ability to feint and dummy, reacting to pressure and adjusting body shape behind the ball whilst on the move.

Technique (20 mins)
* 16 players, each with a ball, working in groups of 4. Nominate a group leader in each group.
* 4 stations, A/B/C/D.
* At each station, players are to dribble from end to end of the square, before performing a turn.
- At Station A - Turn with outside of the foot, carry on dribbling in the new direction.
- At Station B - Turn with inside of the foot, carry on dribbling in the new direction.
- At Station C - Stop turn - stop the ball still, turn and carry on dribbling in the opposite direction.
- At Station D - Backheel turn - backheel then turn onto the moving ball and carry on dribbling.
* Once all players in the groups have completed 5 of each task, groups dribble to next station clockwise.
* Repeat until all stations have been visited.
* Demonstrate and practice the key factors:
Close control
Head up
Changing pace and changing direction of the ball
Ability to feint and dummy
Reacting to pressure
Adjusting body shape behind the ball whilst on the move.
