Organization:
- Two teams split evenly
- 2v2 inside goal box
- Other players spaced evenly outside goal box
Instructions:
- Ball served into goal box by coach
- Players inside goal box look to maintain possesssion, set for players outside area to have strike (one touch)
- Players inside area can score 1 touch on rebounds
- New ball served in
Coaching Points:
- Maintain spacing outside the box for approach
- Touch out of feet
- Weight of set
- Angle / timing / movement of approach
- Head up / Head down (Observe goalkeeper's position)
- Plant foot distance / pointing to target
- Surface technique
- Follow through / Land on kicking foot
Progressions:
- Player outside area can choose not to shoot, combine, enter area once combinations occurs
