Set-up:
Each player should:
-Attempt to stop the ball using the sole of the foot, then drag it backwards and so set off in a different direction
-Pick up the ball, throw it in the air, then control it with either foot or thigh, before setting off towards a target - again with a quick movement
-Run with the ball using the inside and outside of both left foot and right foot
Coaching points:
-Keep head up to observe other players movement
-Be aware of where the space is
-Use both feet
-Contact with different foot surfaces; sole, laces, instep, outstep etc
Progressions:
Players dribble (keeping good control) around the area, and the coach will shout out commands
Commands such as:
-‘Dragback’ - Then each player will stop, and then drag the ball backwards using the sole of the foot
-‘3 to Target’ – so the player numbered 3 will race (at pace) with their ball to the target area, avoiding all the other players
-‘4 to Cones’ - so player 4 will race off towards the cones, upon on reaching them will dribble in and out of the cones 3 times until returning back to the group
-‘Change’ - all players must leave their ball and go and get another one from one of the other players

Set-up:
-18x18 yard grid with 2/3 players on each cone and 2 wall players in the middle
-Corner player passes to wall passer who combines with the other wall passer. The 2nd wall passer lays the ball off for the perimeter player to run on to and pass into the next corner first time
-Perimeter player follows pass to opposite corner
-Remember three short passes and then a longer pass
-Demanding on middle players so change after 45s/1min
Coaching points:
-Short, crisp passing with a long accurate pass to complete the combination
-Remember to switch middle players after each corner who need to get into a suitable position to recieve
-Quick combinations so communication is vital
-Middle players need to find balance with distance; don't go too near but don't go too far
Progressions:

-Blue team must pass and move under pressure, red team only need to touch the ball to win

Set-up:
-Two equal teams, 2 ladders and 4 cones all in a symetrical position
-First person in each team performs designated movement (by coach) through the ladder, then they explode right and run around the cone and down to a serving player
-The serving playing passes the ball to the oncoming player who then passes it back with one touch (instep)
-The server then stops and leaves the ball to the next player (the one who completed the pass) and runs to the furthest ladder
-Players repeat drill until they have been once on both the left and right ladders; the coach then changes the movement i.e. lateral movement, hopping, juming etc
Coaching points:
-Use of correct running mechanics
-Drive foot through the ground for maximum force
-Explode off end ladder and cone to gain speed
-Eye on ball when approaching and passing to server
Progressions:
-Server has ball in hands for oncoming player to volley/half volley
-Perform multiple volleys/half volleys on both feet
-Player waits at cones and demands the ball from server (longer pass) and then passes back
