Stage I

Warm-up - King of the Ring

Organization: 3 defenders, rest of players attackers; 40x15 yard area

Instructions: The objective of the game is to dribble with speed & skill to beat all three defenders, each at 1v1. Once the attacker reaches one of the "safe zone", the next attacker in line may begin to play and beat the defender. Each time the attacker becomes the King of the Ring (beat all defenders) they earn a point. Most points at the end is the King!!

Coaching Points: 1. Look to quickly go at the defender with speed; 2. Dribble w/ laces; 3. Use skill/creativity to beat defender; 4. Awareness of space; 5. Drop of shoulder/bending of knees
