Individual Ball Work
Organization:
- 15-20 yards apart
- 3 cones
- 2 players at one end and 1 player at the opposite end
Instructions:
- P1 takes it to the middle cone and then passes to P3 on far side and action is repeated.
A. Laces - both feet
B. Inside touches
C. Inside - Outside - both feet
D. Fake & Take
E. Scissors
F. Double Scissors
Coaching Points:
- Body shape
- Point toe down
- Keep the ball close (Control)
- Head-up (Awareness)
- Change direction/ Direction/Change speed
- Quality pass

Small Sided Game - 2 Goal Directional Game
Organization:
- 4v4/5v5
- 2 Goal game with pop-ups
- Plenty of balls on outside
- Teams attack and defend 2 goals
Coaching Points:
** Encourage self discovery, problem solving, players thinking for themselves.
- Encourage players to attack space.
- Encourage players to draw defender close to the ball and then play combination around defender = 1 Point
- Head-up (awareness)
- Finding space
- Movement to create space for yourself & teamate
- Change of direction/Change speeds
- Use of moves (Creativity)

1v1 Game to Targets
Orgnization: See daigram
- Players working in pairs (1 Attacker/1 Defender)
- Approx. 15x15 yards
Instructions:
- Attacker attempts to use fakes and fients to unbalance/freeze defender and beat the defender with the ball to one of the 2 gates.
- Race is not started untill the attacker touches the ball breaks the line between the cones
- If defender wins they dribble back over the satring line.
- Players switch roles after each rotation.
Coaching Points:
- Positive first touch
- Deceptive movement (Use of body)
- Changing directions/speeds
- Attack defender at speed
- Creativity - use of moves

Small Sided Game: End Zone Game
Organization:
- 4v4/5v5
- Set-up as shown in diagram with "EndZone" at each end.
Instructions:
- Players/teams score by dribbling the ball into the end zone under control and stopping the ball in the end zone= 1 goal.
- Immediately after scoring a goal the attakcing team leave the ball and defend.
- Players cannot be touched in the end zones - it is used as a safety zone
- After being scored on, the players can pass in or dribble in from the ed zone to start the attack.
Coaching Points:
- Encourage players to attack space.
- Encourage players to draw defender close to the ball and then play combination around defender = 1 Point

- 10 players per group
- 45-50 minutes Training Session
- 1 Techncial Lead/ 1-2 coach assistants
- Groups rotate every 12 minutes/ 2 minutes should be used to explain the game rules
